Meet Miss King.
A feed I can always count on for a healthy dose of hearty home life. Baking, knitting, fishing, thrifting, and plenty of good ole’ fashioned country lovi’n.
Here she shares a bit about her family of four, a naturally photogenic bunch with an admirable knack for making the most of life’s simplest pleasures.
“We are a 4 part family from Nampa. Idaho. Ada Olive is 7 and Arlo Everett is nearly 1.
We live in a somewhat run-down 100 year old house in a sleepy downtown neighborhood. We are fortunate to be surrounded by friends, so there’s no shortage of impromptu shenanigans on any given night.
I spend the majority of my days at home with the littles. We started homeschooling this last year, which has proven to be complicated and messy, but so very satisfying. I grew up homesteading on a mountain top, where I developed a love for slow processes and plain living, like baking, gardening, sewing, knitting, wood carving ect. These skills and hobbies are still an integral part of my day, and few things delight me more than sharing them with my children.
Shaun makes and roasts coffee at a local shop just 2 blocks away from home by day, and is a woodworker and musician by night.
We go on a lot of walks, spend a lot of time at the community garden, and visit our friends often.
Our lives are seemingly slow and mundane, but I really wouldn’t have it any other way.”
