A Week’s Wardrobe

February in Massachusetts is not the easiest time to feel fashionable. That coupled with the fact that our county is currently the snowiest in the entire USA added a little extra challenge. I work one day a week at a salon, the rest of the time I stay home with my two little boys, 1 and 3. I see raising them as my job and like any job I should present myself in a way that makes me feel confident. Some days I don’t see anyone except my family. They don’t care how old my levis are or how well my blouse drapes. As I wash my makeup off at the end of the day I wonder why the heck I care, but I do. I do it for me and no one else. So here are my outfits for a cold snowy week in New England.

Saturday- I headed out to the winter farmers market. These JBrand jeans I scored on Ebay for 30 bucks. They are wonderfully soft and highwaisted. The top is vintage and I’ve had since the early 2000’s. Boots are vintage LLBean thrifted and the hat is Brixton. Blurry photo by my three year old. 🙂

Sunday– Hat is vintage. Shirt is from when Lyell collaborated with Urban Outfitters. I love silk shirts, always and forever. Cardigan is Zara. Jeans are ’70’s Levis from Ebay. Shoes are Minnetonka and go with everything.

Monday– This was taken at the salon and my coworker was cracking me up. Asking someone to take your outfit pic is pretty embarrassing but… Sweater is from Target. Vintage Levis from Ebay. I wish I had a close up of the belt- it’s vintage and is beaded in the back with a native design. Black booties from Target.

Tuesday– I don’t think I left the house but I loved my outfit. 😉 I feared denim and chambray together since I was teased wearing them in my twenties; obviously too close to the Britney Spears Justin Timberlake denim disaster in the early 2000’s. Who remembers that?? Thankfully I got over it and wear canadian tuxedos with pride. Top by Madewell via Ebay. Vintage Levis 501’s from Ebay. Vintage clogs from…Ebay.

Wednesday– I love me some overalls. These are from forever21. Blouse from Madewell. Boots LLBean

Thursday– I know I didn’t leave the house this day. Top by Madewell. Under shirt from Gap. Pants from forever21. Slippers from LLBean
