Do you remember the first pair of vintage jeans you ever bought? What attracted you to them?
I started vintage shopping when I was around 14, and I found a worn-out pair of perfectly faded Levi’s Big Es at the Purple Heart thrift shop in Citrus Heights, California, near where I grew up. They had an embroidered butterfly on the butt, and I wore them forever—so much so that they had to eventually become cutoffs. It definitely started an obsession.
